Photo Slideshow Tutorial
Step 1: Select Your Photos
Open Film Maker – Movie Maker & Video Editor and choose the Photo Slideshow feature from the main screen. Click Add Photos to browse your computer and select the images you want to include in your slideshow. Once imported, your photos will appear on the timeline, where you can drag and rearrange them into your preferred order. When you’re happy with the sequence, click Next.
Step 2: Add Background Music
On the next screen, click Add Music to choose a soundtrack for your slideshow. You can select a song from the built-in music library or click Add Local File to import your own audio. Preview the music, adjust it if needed, and click Next to continue.
Step 3: Apply Transition Effects
Choose a transition effect to create smooth animations between your photos. Browse through options such as Blur, Zoom, Circle, Wave, Fade, and many other creative effects. Preview each transition and select the one that best matches your slideshow before clicking Next.
Step 4: Adjust Video Settings
Customize your slideshow by selecting the most suitable aspect ratio for your video:
- 16:9 – YouTube and widescreen videos
- 9:16 – Shorts, Reels, and Stories
- 1:1 – Instagram posts
- 4:3, 3:2, 3:4, 2:3 – Additional display formats
Use the Photo Duration slider to control how long each image appears on screen. You can also adjust the overall timing to match your background music. Once you’re satisfied, click Next.
Step 5: Edit and Export Your Slideshow
Your slideshow will now open in the editor, where you can make final adjustments before exporting. Use the available tools to:
- Preview your slideshow in real time.
- Rearrange photos on the timeline.
- Add more photos or videos.
- Apply filters and visual effects.
- Insert stickers and decorative elements.
- Add text, titles, or captions.
- Change or replace the background music.
- Fine-tune your project before saving.
When your slideshow is complete, click Save to export your video in high quality. Your finished slideshow will be ready to share on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or with friends and family.
