Movie Maker for Kids provides an enjoyable and easy way for children to explore video editing, express their creativity, and create videos they can save, share, and enjoy with family and friends.

Step 1: Open the Video Editor

Launch Video Maker and Editor for Kids on your Windows PC. From the home screen, click the Video Edit button to begin editing your video.

Next, select a video from your computer to import it into the editor. Once your video is loaded, click the Canvas tool and choose an aspect ratio that matches your preferred platform, such as 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, or another supported size. Your video is now ready for editing and customization.

Step 2: Split and Duplicate Video Clips

To edit specific parts of your video, use the Split tool to divide it into separate clips.

  1. Move the playhead on the timeline to the exact point where you want to make a cut.
  2. Click the Split button (scissors icon) to divide the video into two separate clips.
  3. Repeat this process wherever you need to create additional sections for editing.

After splitting the video, select the clip you want to duplicate and click the Copy button. A duplicate of the selected clip will be created, allowing you to reuse it elsewhere in your project or apply different edits without changing the original clip.

Step 3: Crop and Adjust Video Properties

Use the Crop tool to remove unwanted areas from your video and focus on the most important content. Adjust the left, right, top, and bottom edges until your video is framed exactly the way you want.

Next, click the Properties button to customize your video clip. From here, you can adjust settings such as volume and manage the placement of text, stickers, and other elements on different layers. This allows you to organize your edits and create a polished, professional-looking video.

Step 4: Add Multiple Layers

Click the Add Layer button to place additional elements on top of your video. You can add multiple layers for text, stickers, images, emojis, or other creative effects to personalize your project.

Each layer can be moved, resized, rotated, and positioned independently, allowing you to create dynamic videos with multiple visual elements. Arrange the layers in the order you want and adjust their timing to make your video more engaging and creative.




Step 5: Add Transitions and Filters

Click the Transitions button to add smooth transition effects between your video clips. Browse the available transition styles, preview each effect, and choose the one that best matches your project to create a seamless flow between scenes.

Next, click the Filters button to enhance the look of your video. Explore a variety of filter effects and apply your favorite style to improve colors, create a specific mood, or give your video a unique visual appearance. Preview the changes before moving on to the next editing step.

Step 6: Add Music and Stickers

Click the Audio button to add background music to your video. You can choose from the app’s built-in music collection or click Choose File to import your own audio from your computer. Adjust the music to match your video and create a more engaging viewing experience.

Next, click the Stickers button to decorate your video with fun and creative graphics. Browse the collection of trendy stickers, select your favorites, and place them anywhere on the video. You can move, resize, rotate, and position each sticker to perfectly match your scene.

Step 7: Add Text and Insert New Clips

Click the Text button to add titles, captions, or messages to your video. Customize your text by changing the font style, text color, opacity, size, alignment, and other text properties to match the style of your project.

Next, click the Add Clip button to insert additional content into your video. You can add a new video clip from your computer or insert a solid color background at the beginning or end of your current timeline. This makes it easy to extend your project, create intro and outro screens, or add smooth transitions between scenes.

Step 8: Save and Share Your Video

After completing your edits, click the Save button to export your video in high quality. Choose a location on your computer to save the final project.

Once your video has been exported, you can easily share it with friends and family through your favorite social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and other supported services. Your finished video is now ready to watch, share, and enjoy.
