Video Trimmer Tutorial

Step 1: Open the Video Trimmer

Launch Film Maker – Movie Maker & Video Editor and select the Video Trimmer tool from the main screen. Click Add Video to browse your computer and choose the video you want to edit. Once imported, the video will appear in the preview window along with the editing timeline.

Step 2: Select the Trim Range

Use the timeline to choose the portion of the video you want to keep.

  • Drag the left trim handle to set the starting point.
  • Drag the right trim handle to set the ending point.
  • The highlighted section represents the part of the video that will be saved after trimming.

Adjust the trim handles until you have selected the exact section you want to keep.

Step 3: Preview the Trimmed Video

Click the Play button to preview your trimmed clip before saving.

  • Check that the video starts and ends at the correct points.
  • If needed, adjust the trim handles for a more precise cut.
  • Continue previewing until you’re satisfied with the result.

Step 4: Customize the Output (Optional)

Before exporting, you can customize the output video using the available editing options.

  • Select the preferred output format.
  • Choose the desired video resolution.
  • Crop unwanted areas using the Left, Right, Top, and Bottom crop controls.
  • Adjust the corner radius if you want rounded corners.
  • Preview your changes to ensure the final output looks exactly as expected.

Step 5: Save the Trimmed Video

Once you’ve finished editing, click Save to export your video.

  • Select your preferred output format and resolution.
  • Wait for the export process to complete.
